LISI Legal Indicators for the Social Inclusion of New Minorities

Project summary:

LISI was an EU-project in corporation with EURAC from Bozen and AIRE from London to develop indicators to measure the social inclusion of migrational new minorities. The starting hypothesis was that the legal integration in the form of access to rights, goods, services and resources was a necessary but not sufficient precondition for the social conclusion of new minorities. The LISI-project aimed to complement the state of the research ion the field of social exclusion of migrational minorities, as the legal aspects of the social integration very often had not been considered adequately before. Those objectives are of utter importance to the EU as they help with the identification of common standards and of barriers for the harmonization of relevant policy fields.
